Students examine money flow, corporate investments, tax impacts, and decision-making tools like present and future value analysis. Key topics include risk assessment, foreign investments, and mergers. Bond and equity valuation, stock market strategies, and financial statement analysis are highlighted. The course also covers asset and obligation valuation, including intangible assets and derivatives. By completion, students gain essential skills in cash flow analysis, preparing them to manage complex financial market dynamics.

- To understand international marketing thought’s historical development from its roots in classical economics in the USA to the normative tradition promoted by academic/consultants such as Drucker, Levitt and Kotler in journals such as the Harvard Business Review.
- To generate understanding of popular normative marketing concepts such as the Marketing Mix and STP through application in practical case scenarios.
- To understand branding using Customer Base Brand Equity (CBBE)
- To appreciate the scope of marketing activity including Integrated Marketing Communications theory (IMC)
- To develop an awareness of some of the work that critiques the practical and theoretical assumptions of the managerial marketing tradition, and which
explores the idea of marketing as an intellectual domain.

The module also delves into derivatives, including futures, forwards, swaps, and options, with pricing models like Binomial and Black-Scholes. Additionally, exchange rate theory, foreign exchange markets, and financial market globalization are discussed, along with key topics in behavioral finance and the pensions crisis.

- Understanding financial statements to evaluate performance and understand
the limitations of such analysis of tangible and intangible resources in
business strategy and planning. - Evaluate the effectiveness of management accounting information in the
planning and control of an organisation’s resources. - Critically appraise and evaluate contemporary management accounting
methodology to support the effective management and control of resources. - Understanding of financial data, techniques and tools to evaluate long term
capital decisions and the international aspects of financial strategy. - Understand the sources and consequences of risk for organisations and know
how these risks may be managed.
In this module, students will complete a dissertation on a relevant topic, agreed upon with the Programme Director/Dissertation Coordinator. It focuses on developing research questions, methodology, and critical analysis skills. Students will conduct literature reviews, collect and analyze data, and produce a comprehensive dissertation. This module enhances students’ ability to conduct independent research and contribute new insights to their field of study.
